If one were to look at the price tag on this Extenda Ban, they would avoid this item like the plague. It is expensive. But to be honest, if one were to really think through how much cheaper sprayer valves tend to crack, clog up, wear out, etc, they would see how much value they get out of this. This is of the highest quality. It is so well built. It is strong and durable. I have accidentally dropped it on the ground and banged it against walls, and while there are scratches, it works perfectly fine. I used to use the cheap plastic ones and if it dropped at a terrible angle, it would crack. I have already spent a couple of hundred dollars on replacing weak plastic ones, all within a year or 2. But never again. I bought this once, and this will last me a long time. The quality of this is evidence of that.
